01/28/12 Landing Zone
At 1455hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to 110A SR 61 south to set up a landing zone. Units established a landing area for the aero medical unit. Chief 730 had command and units were on scene for 30 mins. Engine 732 responded with (7)
01/22/11 Automatic Fire Alarm
At 1622hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to 401 University Dr for an AFA. Chief 720 went responding and was advised of possible burnt popcorn on 3rd floor. L725 was first arriving and confirmed the report of burnt popcorn. Engine 732 was quickly released. Chief 720 had command and units were on scene for 5 minutes. E-732 responded (6)
01/19/2012 -Reported Structure Fire
At 0139hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to 1 May Ann Hill for a possible structure fire. Engine 732 arrived and staged till released. Chief 720 had command and units were on scene for 10 mins. E -732 responded with (5)
01/18/12 MVA
At 0944hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to the area of Parkway and Columbia for an MVA with injuries. Units arrived and found a 2 vehicle accident with one injury. The crew stood by till released. C-720 had command and units were on scene for 10 minutes. Engine 733 responded with (6)
01/18/2012 -Smoke in a Structure
At 01:31 Stations 1 & 4 were dispatched along with Fire Districts, 56, 42 and 47 to 900 W. Market Street, Orwigsburg for an automatic fire alarm. Chief 56-02 advised all incoming units of a smoke condition on the third floor and requested an additional engine from Station 2. Crews used TICs (Thermal Imagery Cameras) to locate a problem with a ventilation motor. Power to the motor was cut and all units were placed available by Orwigsburg command. 01/15/2012 -Smoke in an Apartment
At 0002hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to 312 University Drive(Penn State) for smoke in a structure. Chief 723 arrived and found Burnt food. Engine 732 arrived, checked for extension and was quickly released. Chief 723 had command and units were on scene for 5 mins. Engine 732 responded with (7)
01/13/12 Odor Investigation
At 1701hrs Station 2 was dispatched to 212 St John St for Odor Investigation. Crews arrived and searched with the 4 gas and ventilated the structure. Chief 723 had command and units were on scene for 15 mins. E-732 responded with (6)
01/05/12 Landing Zone
At 10:58 Stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to 9A Earl Stoyer Drive to setup a landing zone for incoming Medevac 7. As all units began to respond SCCC was advised that the parking lot of the Grace Evangelical Church was occupied and the landing zone was redirected to Fritz Reed Ave. (The Island). Crews assisted EMS and the Flight Crew with patient packaging and transport to the helicopter. All units were cleared by Chief 730 shortly after takeoff.
01/07/2012 -Smoke in a Structure
At 1152hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to 84 North Berne St for smoke in a structure. Chief 730 arrived and found possible oil burner malfunction. Chief 730 had command and units were on scene for 20 mins. Utility - 734 responded with (2)
01/06/12 MVA
At 1334hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to the area of 1530 Route 61 south for an MVA with injuries. Units arrived and found a 2 vehicle accident with three injuries. The crew assisted with packaging and removing three patients. C-722 had command and units were on scene for 30 minutes. Engine 733 responded with (6)
01/05/12 Landing Zone
At 0419hrs Stations 2 & 4 were dispatched to 9A Earl Stoyer Drive to set up a landing zone. After 3rd dispatch and not having enough manpower to crew the apparatus Chief 722 had Station 2 units cancelled. Station 2 responded with (2)
01/04/2012 -Reported Structure Fire
At 0210hrs Stations 1, 2 & 4 were dispatched to 270 SR 61 South (Sheetz) for a possible structure fire. Chief 722arrived and found possible electrical fire. First arriving E-732 used the TIC to check the area and after finding no extension in the wall secured the power. Chief 722 had command and units were on scene for 15 mins. E -732 responded with (6), Engine 733 responded with (3), Utility - 734 responded with (1)
01/03/12 Haz Mat
At 1440hrs Stations 2 was dispatched to 300 East Liberty St for Haz Mat. Utility 734 responded and found a heating oil spill that was contained by a dike. Requested E732 for additional manpower and started applying absorbent material to the spill. Crews found about 20 gallons had spilled. Units were on scene for 1 hour and Chief 722 had command. Utility 734 responded with (1) and Engine 732 responded with (5)
